Government College Parpodi (C.G.)  is the only college notified to providing quality education to the students of the region hailing mostly from remote rural, educationally and economically backward area. The Institute came into existence on 16th August 1989 with the under graduate course B.A., B.SC., and B.Com  In subsequent years Postgraduate  courses were added i.e. M.A. in Sociology ,Political Science, Economics ,Hindi and M.com. The college is aco-ed college with majority of students belonging to SC/ST/OBC category. The institution is fully aware of its prime responsibility of mentoring these students by providing quality education to empower these students and motivate them by maintaining balance between tradition and modernity. Institute academic objectives include attaining depth of knowledge of subjects, developing design making capability in students together with developing society and nation by putting efforts towards letting students have perfection through co-education, cultural activities and sports competition.

The institution is committed for making students assimilate true humanitarian values, rendering education to vocational direction through words and deeds, enabling to develop perfect coherence with technical challenges and maintaining proper coordination among qualitative education, sports and cultural events.
